Sizing Guide: How to Measure Yourself at Home

Buying clothes online can feel tricky when it comes to size. Don't worry, measuring yourself at home is simple and only takes a few minutes. Follow this easy guide to find your perfect fit.

What You'll Need

  • A soft measuring tape (the kind tailors use)
  • A mirror, or a friend to help you
  • A notepad to write down your numbers

Step 1: Chest Measurement

Wrap the measuring tape around the fullest part of your chest, keeping it level all around your body. Don't pull it too tight, just enough that it sits comfortably against your body.

Tip: Keep your arms relaxed at your sides while measuring.

Step 2: Waist Measurement

Find your natural waistline, this is usually the narrowest part of your stomach, just above your belly button. Wrap the tape around it, keeping it snug but not tight.

Tip: Don't suck in your stomach while measuring, this gives an inaccurate number.

Step 3: Hip Measurement

Wrap the tape around the fullest part of your hips, usually around 7-8 inches below your waist. Keep the tape level all the way around.

Tip: Stand with your feet together for the most accurate measurement.

Step 4: Write It Down

Once you have all three numbers, chest, waist, and hips, write them down. You'll use these numbers to check against our size chart.

How to Use Your Measurements

Once you have your numbers, simply check them against our Size Chart, available on every product page. Find the size that matches your measurements, and that's your size.

Mastura – Size Chart (Women's Eastern Wear)

Size Chest (inches) Waist (inches) Hip (inches)
S 34 32 36
M 36 34 38
L 38 36 40
XL 40 38 42

All measurements are in inches and may vary slightly (±0.5") due to handcrafted embroidery and fabric. Please always check the live size chart on the product page, as it may be updated.

A Few Extra Tips

  • Measure over light clothing, not over thick jackets or heavy clothes, for the most accurate result.
  • If you're between two sizes, it's usually better to choose the larger size for comfort, especially for our unstitched or semi-stitched suits.
  • Ask someone to help you measure, it's much easier and more accurate than doing it alone.
  • Remember, handmade pieces may vary slightly, this is normal for quality, handcrafted clothing.
